YES for Europe elected 2018 presidency team!
YES for Europe gathered in Madrid for the 8th European Youth Entrepreneurship Conference to elect new presidency team, accept new member organizations and appoint new General Director.
2018 Presidency team
Nearly 20 country representatives from YES for Europe member associations gathered together in Madrid to discuss the most important issues related to the future of YES and to vote for the new board members. The Assembly elected Mikel Beroiz from CEAJE Confederación Española de Jóvenes Empresarios from Spain for the 2018 President. For the next twelve months he will be supported by three Vicepresidents: Ben Knoefler (BVMW – Junger Mittelstand) – holding the position of Executive VP, Janusz Dramski – Young Entrepreneurs Forum of Poland and Matteo Dell’Acqua – Confindustria Young Entrepreneurs from Italy. Przemyslaw Grzywa, currently holding the position of 2017 President, will remain in the organization in 2018 as the General Director and hold the role of the Past President with an advisory capacity.

The meeting in Madrid was also an opportunity to pay the tribute to previous leaders: Dimitris Tsingos both a long-time President of YES and General Director until the end of 2017 and Luca Donelli – President in 2016. Both expressed their will to support YES in future as well.

Another important part of the General Assembly was presentation and acceptance as new full members young entrepreneurs’ organizations from both Ireland: JCI Ireland together with YES Ireland and Finland: Nuoret Yrittäjät (Young Entrepreneurs of Finland) and two new associated members from Russia: Opora Russia and Switzerland: GEN Switzerland. YES for Europe community has grown to 22 organizations from 20 countries. Sincere congratulations to all of them!
The EYEC’s tradition goes on!
The 8th European Youth Entrepreneurship Conference was one of the most significant events in YES history not only due to the several important decision taken by the General Assembly strengthening the organizations for future but also thanks to the very packed agenda prepared by the Spanish host CEAJE. As always the event gathered delegations from all over Europe and the participants had a unique opportunity to take part in study visit to IE Business School, listen to the keynote speakers such as Juan Galarido Sosa, Head of Spain Uber and visit the La Liga headquartes where Adolfo Bara Marketing General Director presented business strategy of one the most prominent football league in the world.

YES team has also presented the status of currently ongoing EU projects: Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs, World in Words (creating a platform for teaching entrepreneurs business English), GOAL (building an IT tool for athletes to teach them entrepreneurial skills) and AROMA (development of a Digital Training Toolbox to train entrepreneurs to exploit AR potential within their business).
